Far From the Tree is a series of drawings meant to represent the relationships between mother and child. I surveyed several individuals asking them a series of questions. Who is your mother to you? Is she the type of person you want to be when you grow up? Do you share anything in common with her? Lastly, if she were color, what would she be?"

I would then draw interactions between tree and apple (mother and child) representing the relationship dynamics I heard. Answers of color then became backsplashes.
